₦550 billion to put certified inputs, real agronomy and a guaranteed price in front of two million Nigerian smallholders. Flagged off in Zaria on 17 July 2026.
What is the Renewed Hope Smallholder Agricultural Financing Programme?
A Federal Government programme, financed through the Bank of Agriculture, to lift Nigeria’s annual grain output from around 11 million tonnes to 25 million. It reaches farmers directly with certified inputs on credit, extension support, weather advisory and a guaranteed minimum price at harvest.
₦250 billion finances smallholders. A further ₦300 billion stabilises food prices for local consumption.
Success will not be measured by the number of bags distributed or communities reached, but by healthier harvests and stronger rural economies.

What does Arzikin Noma do in the programme?
We are a delivery partner on the ground. That means coordinating input distribution, reaching farming communities, keeping the records that let the Bank of Agriculture trace where every bag went, and standing behind the guaranteed price at harvest.
The flag-off was held in Zaria because that is where we are. Our head office has been on Sokoto Road, Kwangila, since 2021.

How does a farmer join the programme?

Cooperatives and farmer associations in participating states put forward their members.

Plot verification
Our field officers confirm the land and record the farmer against it.

Inputs at planting
Seed, fertiliser and crop protection issued on credit, at a value fixed the day they are issued.

Support through the season
Extension visits, agronomic guidance and weather advisory, from planting to harvest.

Sell at harvest
Deliver to a buying centre, repay from the proceeds, and keep the difference.
What is the Guaranteed Minimum Price?
The price is agreed before you plant, not on the day you sell. If the market falls at harvest, you still receive the agreed price.
You know what the crop is worth before you commit a season to growing it.

Is the Renewed Hope Programme free?
No. Inputs are supplied on credit and repaid after harvest. That is what allows the same money to fund the next farmer the following season.
Who funds the programme?
The Federal Government of Nigeria, financed through the Bank of Agriculture. The programme commits ₦550 billion in total: ₦250 billion to finance smallholders directly and ₦300 billion to stabilise food prices for local consumption.
How many farmers will it reach?
Two million farmers are targeted nationwide, rising towards five million as the programme expands. More than one in three beneficiaries will be women.
